How Long Is A Jeep Renegade In Feet?

At 167 inches, the Renegade is one inch shy of a full 14 feet. Since subcompact crossover SUVs are typically under 173 inches, the Renegade is close to the maximum length.

The Jeep Renegade offers 18.5 cubic feet of cargo room behind the seats. With the back seats down, that turns into 50.8 cubic feet.

How Much Weight Can I Put In The Back Of A Jeep Renegade?

The maximum weight that a vehicle can carry is also known as the payload. This includes passenger weight and any cargo. The payload for the Jeep Renegade ranges between 1,054 to 1,376 pounds.

The payload weight is a range because the specific options installed on each Jeep Renegade change the vehicle's curb weight. As a result, the payload also changes. To find your vehicle's exact payload, check the informational sticker on the doorpost. The gross motor vehicle weight minus the curb weight provides the exact and correct payload weight.

In many ways, the 2021 Jeep Compass and Renegade are comparable. They get about the same number of miles per gallon. The horsepower is virtually the same between both vehicles.

The Renegade has a bit more headroom in the front row, with 41 inches. The Compass only offers 39 inches of headroom. However, the Renegade is a bit more cramped in the backseat, with only 35 inches of legroom. Meanwhile, the Compass boasts 38 inches.

The Compass and Renegade are about the same in exterior width. However, the Compass is longer. At 173 inches, that's a full 6 inches more than the Renegade. The Compass is also 2 inches shorter, at 65 inches high.

Not surprisingly, the larger Compass also has more cargo room. It offers 27.2 cubic feet with the seats up, and 59.8 cubic feet when counting the seating area.

Which Is Bigger Buick Encore or Jeep Renegade?

Used Buick Encore on display. With current supply issues, Buick is relying on Certified used car sales while waiting for parts. How Big Is A Buick Encore

Unlike the Jeep Compass, a compact crossover SUV, both the Buick Encore and the Jeep Renegade are considered subcompact SUVs. So, now that we're comparing oranges to oranges, which is bigger?

The Buick Encore and the Jeep Renegade are roughly the same in length, at a respective 168 and 167 inches. Note that the Encore GX model is slightly longer, at around 171 inches. However, the Encore is considerably thinner, at a mere 70 inches compared to the Renegade's 74 inches.

The cargo space is also comparable, with 18.8 cubic feet behind the seats - nearly identical to the Renegade's 18.5 cubic feet. However, with the seats down, the Encore only increases to 48.4 cubic feet. The Renegade has a few more feet, at 50.8 cubic feet.

The Encore isn't quite as roomy as the Renegade, either. The front seat offers less legroom and headroom, making it a bit more crowded. Both seat five people.

In Closing

The Jeep Renegade, which has been available since the 2015 model year, is a subcompact crossover SUV. The exterior dimensions are 167 inches long, 74 inches wide, and 67 inches high. It offers 18.5 cubic feet of cargo space, which increases to 50.8 cubic feet with the back row of seats down.

While the exterior sizing remains consistent on all styles of Renegade, it's available in nine different trim options. Each trim comes with different features and available options. It's available in four-wheel drive, making it popular with drivers who desire the 4x4 capability but don't have the room to park a larger SUV.
