No matter how solid an automaker's reputation is, there will always be a model year or two that stands out as being a bit problematic. The Lincoln Nautilus is no exception to this. While generally having a solid line of SUVs for consumers, there have been a few hiccups with the Nautilus.

The 2019 model year was the most problematic. That year saw four recalls, two dealing with airbag issues, one concerning "hands off the wheel alert" failures, and one for the instrument cluster blanking out.

The 2019 Nautilus also had some reasonably moderate transmission complaints from consumers. Nearly all of the complaints were about harsh shifting. None of the complaints were of the transmission failing, thankfully.

J.D. Power and Associates rated it as having overall reliability of 85 out of 100 for the 2019 and 2020 model years. U.S. News and World Report ranked the 2019 model in the middle of its class at 9th overall. This same outlet rated the 2020 model year as 5th overall, making it one of the leaders in its class of mid-sized luxury SUVs.

So far, the Nautilus has been a pretty reliable vehicle on the road. As more time passes, more data will be available to get a broader picture.

How long will a Lincoln Nautilus last?

An odometer registering two hundred thousand miles

Those who will spend the money on a luxury car will probably want one that will last a good amount of time. The number of road miles you can put on any vehicle is a big part of selecting certain models. Many cannot or do not want to replace their vehicles every four or five years, so longevity goes a long way with most consumers.

The Lincoln Nautilus will give the consumer more than a fair amount of the longevity that they want. This model vehicle will last upwards of 200,000 miles, with some consumers reporting that theirs have exceeded 250,000 miles.

Of course, getting to these higher mileage milestones requires particular care and maintenance. For your Lincoln Nautilus to reach and surpass them, you'll want to follow the maintenance guidelines outlined in your owner's manual. Routine oil changes, mechanical inspections, and filter replacements will undoubtedly go a long way in getting your SUV to 200,000 miles.
