Hyundai Palisade Packages That Come With Remote Start

The Hyundai Palisade made its debut in 2020 with the plan of replacing the Hyundai Santa Fe XL. Originally, it debuted with three trim packages: the SE, SEL, and Limited. The Palisade did very well in its first year, and now in 2021, Hyundai introduced another trim package for the Palisade, the Calligraphy trim package.

In all four of the trim packages, the engine is the same. The Palisade is equipped with a 3.8L V6 GDI engine, with 291 horsepower and 262 LBS of torque. While the engine may be the same in each trim, they all are different when it comes to features. We specifically wanted to know which of these packages come standard with remote start.

Hyundai Palisade SE

The 2021 Hyundai Palisade SE is the base model and comes with limited features. Unfortunately, this means that the SE trim package does not come standard with a remote start. There are several aftermarket options for a remote start that can be added to the Palisade SE. Reach out to your local dealer and get a quote on remote start packages. A plus about the aftermarket remote starts is choosing different styles depending on your budget and needs.

It may not be the fanciest of the Palisades, but it doesn't have an affordable price point with a starting MSRP of $32,525.

Hyundai Palisade SEL

Going up in price and features is the Hyundai Palisade SEL. The SEL has a starting MSRP of $35,325 and comes standard with quite a few more bells and whistles than the base model SE. One of those standard features being remote start. In addition to it having a remote start, the Hyundai Palisade SEL also adds these standard features to the list:

  • Heated front leather seats
  • Power tilt and slide sunroof
  • Leather-wrapped steering wheel
  • Auto-dimming rearview mirror with HomeLink Universal Transceiver
  • Bench or captain seating options at no additional cost
  • 8-way power driver seat

That's quite a few more features for not that much money! If that isn't enough, consumers will be happy to know that they can add the Premium Package to the Palisade SEL for $3,100. The Premium Package will give you every feature that Hyundai has to offer. Hyundai Palisade Limited

The next on the list with a standard remote start is the Hyundai Palisade Limited. This is the package you go with when you want every feature under the sun, including the beautifully handcrafted NAPPA leather seats. Besides leather seats, another difference between the Limited and SEL is that the Limited only comes with second-row captain's chairs. Here is a list of features that are added to the Limited trim:

  • Leather seating surfaces
  • Premium dashboard/door armrests
  • 8-way power passenger seat
  • Driver's seat integrated memory system (IMS)
  • Heated second-row seats
  • Power folding/unfolding/reclining third-row seating
  • Heated steering wheel
  • Navigation with 10.25" touchscreen
  • Highway drive assist
  • SiriusXM, Blue Link Connected Car
  • Driver Talk (in-car intercom)
  • Ventilated front and second-row seats

While the Limited comes with several standard features compared to the SEL, it also comes with a hefty price tag. The started MSRP of the Hyundai Palisade Limited is $45,275. In comparison, consumers can get the Hyundai Palisade SEL with the Premium Package for only $37,675. That's a big price difference for similar features.

Hyundai Palisade Calligraphy

As of 2021, the Palisade now has four trim packages because now available for purchase is the Hyundai Palisade Calligraphy. The Calligraphy comes with the exact same features as the Limited package but is a little bit more money with a starting MSRP of $46,200.

So, What's The Difference?

The Calligraphy package does stand out with premium cosmetic upgrades compared to the 2021 Hyundai Palisade Limited package. The new Calligraphy offers a new premium grill, quilted leather door panels, and 20-inch Calligraphy-exclusive alloy wheels. The Calligraphy also comes exclusively in AWD, while the SE, SEL, and Limited come standard in 2WD unless upgraded to AWD for an extra $1,700.

How Long Does Remote Start Stay On For Hyundai Palisade?

The Hyundai Palisade remote start has an exceptional reach. If you wonder how far you can start your car using the remote start, here is a little trick. First, try locking your vehicle, and if you can see the headlights on the SUV flash when clicking the lock button, you are within range of the remote start.

After you remote start the Palisade, it will run for 10 minutes before manually turning itself off.  The auto turn-off is a handy feature if you get busy and don't enter the vehicle within 10 minutes or shortly after. Additionally, if you realize you won't be leaving as soon as you expected, then you can turn off the vehicle by clicking the remote start button again.

Which Hyundai Models Come Standard With Remote Start?

Hyundai offers several sedans, crossover, and SUV options, but which ones come standard with a remote start? We have put together a list of Hyundai vehicles that have this feature. Here is the list starting with compact cars:

Can I Start My Hyundai Palisade With My Phone?

Ever locked your keys in the car, and you don't have a spare? What do you do? Locksmiths can be expensive, and breaking a window could cause severe damage to your vehicle. That's why Hyundai created the Hyundai Digital Key app. Unfortunately, only android phone owners can take advantage of this feature.

What Does The Digital Key App Do?

The Hyundai Digital Key app will lock, unlock, and even start your vehicle all from your cellphone. The digital key can also be shared with up to four users. The digital key is a great feature for a family who doesn't want to spend $200 to $400 for extra key fobs.

How Do I Know If My Vehicle Has A Remote Start?

Whether you live in a hot climate, cold climate, or a mixture of the two, remote start is a convenient feature to have, but how do you know if your vehicle is equipped with it?

The first thing to do is check your vehicle's owner's manual. If your vehicle has a remote start, then the owner's manual will have information about it and how to use it. If, for some reason, your vehicle doesn't have an owner's manual, then call your local dealer or salesperson; they will be able to tell if that particular model has the feature.

Another quick way to check if your vehicle has a remote start is to look at the key remote or key fob. There will be an additional button that typically looks like an arrow making a circle. This button will be completely different from the unlock, lock, and truck buttons on the key remote or fob.

In Closing

When it comes to getting the remote start feature, consumers will be happy to know that they can get it standard with the Hyundai Palisade's SEL, Limited, and Calligraphy package. If the SE is all you need, but you want that remote start for frigid mornings or scorching summer afternoons, then check with your dealer and get a quote on an aftermarket remote start.
