What Colors Does The Hyundai Palisade Come In?

You had been looking for a new car for quite some time. You had already narrowed it down to the Hyundai and narrowed that down some more to the Palisade. Now comes the next question: what colors does the Hyundai Palisade come in? We've consulted the manufacturer's website to bring you a comprehensive list of the Palisade's color options, including which colors are available in each trim.

As you read through your options, remember that not every dealer will readily carry all the colors in all the available trims. Don't worry! Your salesperson could do a dealer trade, exchanging something in their stock with another dealer in the network who has the color you're looking for. The 2021 Hyundai Palisade comes in the following colors:

  • Moonlight Cloud
  • Sierra Burgundy
  • Hyper White
  • Lagoon Silver
  • Steel Graphite
  • Rainforest
  • Becketts Black
  • Typhoon Silver

Although it seems like a big selection, not all colors are available on all trims (trim is the variation in style/features that are available). Continue reading as we review each color and the trims available in said color.

Typhoon Silver

Typhoon Silver is a little darker than Lagoon Silver and is available in the Calligraphy trim only.

We know this list may bring up more questions, and we've done our best to answer them below.

What Color Is Hyundai Rainforest?

Many of you may still be stuck on the description of the Rainforest color and wonder how it can be both grey and green and what color is it really.

In order to answer that question, we need to look at the hexadecimal color code for this color. The hexadecimal color code - also known as the hex color code - is a six-digit code used in computers and mathematics to represent the amount of red, green, and blue (RGB) in the various shades of colors.

Rainforest has the hex color code #204020. This code means that the RGB ratio is 12.55% red, 25.1% green, and 12.55% blue. This code also lets us know that Rainforest has a hue of 120° degrees, 33% saturation, and 19% lightness. This makes Rainforest a dark shade of green.

What Interior Colors Does Hyundai Palisade Come In?

Although there are various interior color options, you are slightly limited in your choices because not only are certain fabrics exclusive to certain trims but interior colors are also limited by the exterior colors, meaning not all interiors come with all exteriors.

We're going to break this down first by trim and then, if applicable, by exterior colors.

Palisade SE

All the colors in this trim come with either black or grey fabric interior.

Palisade SEL

All the colors in this trim also come with either black or grey fabric interior.

Palisade Limited

The Rainforest and Lagoon Silver exteriors only have a black NAPPA leather option for the interior. All the other colors have black or beige NAPPA leather options.

Palisade Calligraphy

The Typhoon Silver and Rainforest exteriors have only the black NAPPA leather option for the interior. All the other colors also have the options of beige or black NAPPA leather.

What Is The Hyundai Palisade Calligraphy Trim?

The Calligraphy is the most expensive trim the Palisade comes in. Starting at $46,200, the trim comes in all-wheel drive (AWD).

It has a unique grille and bumpers, 20-inch wheels that are only available in this trim, and quilted leather door panels. There is a second-row sunroof, four 12-volt DC outlets, and a driver's seat footrest. It also comes with remote-activated approach lights and surround-view camera monitors.

What Is The Palisade Premium Package?

The packages are extra features that you can add to a trim level to upgrade it. In order to get the Premium Package, you have to have two things: the SEL trim and the Convenience Package.

The Convenience Package is available on the SEL trim includes a full-panel panoramic sunroof, 20-inch alloy wheels, LED taillights, auto-leveling rear suspension, a 7-inch driver instrument panel LCD, rear side sunshades, wireless phone charging, a hands-free liftgate, third-row USB ports, and an AC outlet.

Once you have the Convenience Package, you can then get the Premium Package. This package adds premium dashboard trim, navigation with a larger touchscreen, eight-way power seats, integrated memory for driver seat and mirrors, leather seats, bi-LED headlamps, heated steering wheel, and power-folding/reclining third-row seats.

These packages aren't available on the Limited or Calligraphy.

What Is The Top Trim For Palisade?

After reading all this, you may think that the Calligraphy is the top trim for the Palisade, and that may be true from a cost and extras perspective, but once we did more research, we concluded that it was the Limited, and not the Calligraphy, that was the top.

The Calligraphy starts at $46,200, almost $15,000 more than the least expensive SE, which starts at $32,675. The Calligraphy doesn't really have much more than the Limited ($45,275 MSRP). They share all of the same safety features, with the upgrade basically being comfort features like the driver's seat footrest.

The biggest reason why the Calligraphy isn't the top trim is that the engine doesn't change from the one in the SE! All four trims have a 291-hp 3.8L GDI V6 engine, with 22 miles per gallon (MPG) or combined, 19 city/26 highway. Because of this, the Limited offers a lot more when you upgrade from the SEL than the Calligraphy does when you upgrade from the Limited. This makes the Limited the top trim.

In Closing

Although the exterior colors are important, remember that the trims, packages, and interiors are all impacted by the exterior color you choose. We hope this post cleared up some questions for you and helps make the purchase of your new Palisade easier.
