Kia Sedona

The design of this van has not changed much since last year. Kia focused on refining design rather than making any drastic changes. the Sedona is still at the top of its game with all of its electric features and cargo storage abilities. The Toyota Sienna is the longest-running Contender on this list. as usual, the design spared nothing when it came to luxury and affordability. The 2020 Sienna also features best-in-class horsepower. It boasts a 3.5-liter V6 engine pushing out 296 horsepower. The Sienna has remained as sleek and well-designed as ever. The Sienna is definitely one of the best-selling minivans ever. Honda Odyssey

Honda's Contender for the 2020 minivan list is the Odyssey. It comes with a slew of electronic features, including built-in wireless phone chargers a new road departure mitigation system and all of the class and style that you would expect from a Honda. Chrysler Voyager

A welcome surprise for Chrysler fans this year, as the new Chrysler Voyager has hit the market. This model has been rebranded over from the days of the old Plymouth Voyager and boasts many of the same accessory packages and features of the Pacifica at a lower cost.

That is not to say that this minivan is not well made. This is an excellent attempt at reaching a niche in a tough market. This vehicle will not disappoint. While most of the vehicles listed are in the same price range, this is a great option at the lower end. This has taken over some of the trims that used to be available for the Pacifica. What Happened to All the Minivans?

Up until a few years ago no matter where you looked you sign minivans everywhere. Now they seem to be disappearing completely.  You still see a lot of used minivans, but you do not see very many new models introduction. Why is this? America used to be in love with the minivan it was the perfect family vehicle and it offered plenty of space without compromising performance.

The SUV and the crossover seem to have killed that off. these vehicles offer the comfort and stability of a minivan and the ability to travel on all different types of terrain.  There was also a stigma that was attached to the minivan such as soccer moms and daycare dads so this may be a combined effect of having more options and socioeconomic trends.

The Current Generation of Minivans

There are a lot of similarities between the vans on this list. If you pay close attention you will find that most of them offer an all-wheel-drive option. This may be an attempt to keep up in a saturated vehicle market. The deciding option then generally comes down to brand preference and product reviews.

They may appear to be the same or similar. That is not always the case. Each brand has its signature features and styles It would appear that manufacturers are concentrating more on developing and maintaining that signature in each model.

For this article, we compared the base models of all the vehicles listed. We have provided a link to the manufacturer for each minivan. You can click on that to be taken to their sites to compare trims and other options. We did not cover all “vans”. That list is much larger. We only listed the minivan or passenger van models from each manufacturer.

The Pricepoint

Another common factor that you will see with this list is that there is very little difference in the price of each van. The market is so tight that there is not much room to budge. Each brand is trying to remain competitive and still sell vehicles. This may not be good for the manufacturers but it is great news for consumers. You are able to get an awesome van at a great price!

You are sure to find something on this list that appeals to you. All of the minivans listed are of awesome quality and reasonable price. These are the best of the best after all they have managed to survive this far. Take a look at them and make your own comparisons. There is sure to be an offer that catches your eye.
